St. Maarten Cable TV Announces Contribution To The St. Maarten Vocational School Philipsburg, St. Maarten

In keeping with the Company’s commitment to the community, Maarten Cable TV recently made a charitable donation to the St. Maarten Vocational School. On April 8, 2016, Beulah Jonis, Managing Director of St. Maarten Cable TV presented supplies for the student kitchen to Interim Director Rita Bourne-Gumbs.

Beulah Jonis, Managing Director stated, “St. Maarten Cable TV wanted to assist the culinary students at this institution because their skills have been showcased in social media and we were impressed with the efforts the school management has been making to encourage their students. We reached out to Ms. Bourne-Gumbs and she indicated that the students were restricted due to limited supplies so we found a way to assist. ”

After the presentation of pots and kitchen utensils, Jonis toured the school and saw students in other programs offered including carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical trades.

“St. Maarten Cable TV plans to continue to support the school and we are reaching out to our partner programmers such as Pivot, Food Network and Discovery to ask for assistance. It is our pleasure to assist these talented young individuals,“ concluded Jonis.
